Marty McFly’s Back to the Future 1985 Toyota Xtra Cab Pickup

This Toyota Pickup is the actual truck used by Marty McFly in the 1985 movie Back to the Future. The truck was originally purchased by a California company specializing in leasing movie vehicles. Once the movie was over the owner used it as his personal vehicle for a number of years and later sold it, where it took on a new persona as a bright orange off-road 4x4.

The current owners have been longtime fans of the movie and own one of the De Lorean-DMC 12 time machines used in the movie. When the opportunity came up to purchase the truck, it seemed like a natural fit for these Back to the Future fans.

Greg’s Restorations was commissioned to do a total frame off restoration, the owner’s only stipulation--the truck had to be perfectly restored to it’s movie specifications.

The body was separated from the frame and both were media blasted down to bare metal. The body was mounted on our rotisserie, treated for rust and new panels fitted where needed. Primed and blocked multiple times and painted it's original black.

The entire truck has undergone a complete mechanical restoration and many components have been remanufactured to higher specs than the original equipment.

The engine was rebuilt by 22-RE engine specialists 22RE Performance in California where it was ported, polished, fully balanced and blueprinted. A custom ceramic coated stainless steel exhaust system and a sweet sounding magnaflow muffler really complete the build.

The truck even has an interior sun shade visor autographed by Michael J. Fox.

This is not a tribute truck—it is the actual truck used in the movie.
